A small tree with a spreading canopy, which originates from Asia. White or pink flowers appear in early Spring before the leaves and the edible fruit contains a hard shell containing a single kernel from which the oil is extracted.

Very rich in vitamin E, plus A, C, K; plus plentiful amounts of oleic acid and linoleum acid (GLA).
Dried apricot kernels are cold-pressed & filtered without the use of solvents.
The chemically extracted product is often misleadingly sold as cold-pressed.
The chemical extraction process significantly reduces the nutritional value of the oil.
